Federico Higuain's equalizer in the 72nd minute carried DC United to a 1-1 draw with the New England Revolution.
Adam Buska scored for the Revs in the 51st minute.

In the first of two Group D contests, Graham Zusi scored the winning goal in the second minute of second-half stoppage time to carry Sporting Kansas City to a 3-2 victory over the nine-man Colorado Rapids.
In the final Friday match, Real Salt Lake and Minnesota United battled to a 0-0 stalemate.
