PACHUCA BEATS TIGRES FOR FOURTH CONCACAF CLUB TITLE-THEIR FIRST SINCE 2010

At Pachuca, Mexico:

Franco Jara scored the only goal in the 83rd minute as Pachuca defeated visiting Tigres 1-0 in game two of the CONCACAF Champions League final on Wednesday and won their first regional club title since 2010, their tenth overall, 2-1 on aggregate.

The Gophers will represent CONCACAF in December's FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in the United Arab Emirates.

CONCACAF Champions League Final: Pachuca Gain 1-1 Series-Opening Road Draw With Tigres

At San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico:

In the opening match of another all-Mexican CONCACAF Champions League final on Tuesday, Victor Ismael Sosa's score in the 32nd minute enabled Tigres to salvage a 1-1 home draw with Pachuca.  Raul Lopez scored for the visitors in the third minute.

The series will conclude next Wednesday night at Pachuca, Mexico, with the winner advancing to the FIFA Club World Cup, set for this coming December in the United Arab Emirates.

CLUB AMERICA DEFEAT TIGRES TO CLAIM ANOTHER CONCACAF CLUB TITLE

At Mexico City:

Michael Arroyo (68') and Osvaldo Martinez (PK-87') each scored a goal on Wednesday as Club America defeated visiting Tigres 2-1 in game two of the CONCACAF Champions League Final and won their seventh continental club title and a berth in December's FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in Japan.

CONCACAF Champions League Final: Club America Get Jump On Tigres In Series Opener On Road

At San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico:

In Wednesday's opening game of the CONCACAF Champions League Final, Dario Benedetto (49') and Osvaldo Martinez (90'+3) delivered the scoring as Club America blanked Tigres 2-0 on the road.

The series will conclude next Wednesday at Mexico City.  The winner of this series will advance to December's FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in Japan.

RIVER PLATE CROWN TIGRES, CAPTURE THIRD COPA LIBERTADORES CROWN

At Buenos Aires:


Lucas Alario (45'), Carlos Sanchez (PK-75'), and Ramiro Funes Mori (79') each scored a goal on Wednesday night as River Plate dominated visiting Tigres 3-0 in game two of the Copa Libertadores Final and took the series by the same score on aggregate as the Argentinian club won their third South American club championship.


With a Mexican club in the final (Mexico belongs to CONCACAF, not CONMEBOL), River Plate had already assured themselves of the right to represent South America in December's FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in Japan.

Copa Libertadores Final: Series-Opening Goose Eggs For Tigres And River Plate

At San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico:

Wednesday's opening match of the Copa Libertadores Final between Tigres and visiting River Plate ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Win or lose, the Argentinian club will represent CONMEBOL in December's FIFA Club World Cup, since Mexico, as a CONCACAF member-nation, cannot represent South America in the CWC.

Tigres Held To Home Draw; Eliminated From Apertura Playoffs

Paul Aguilar's equalizer in the 67th minute lifted Club America to a 1-1 Saturday Mexican Liga MX road draw with Tigres.  Juninho scored for the hosts in the 39th minute as the Apertura portion of the 2012-13 season came to a close for both clubs.  Tigres will miss out on the upcoming Apertura playoffs.
