MLS: Red Bulls, Crew, Dynamo, RSL Pick Up Saturday Wins; Whitecaps and Sounders (Who Clinch Playoff Berth) Battle To Scoreless Cascadia Cup Draw; DCU and Timbers Draw; Late Heroics Gain Home Draw For Quakes

Seven games were played on Saturday in Major League Soccer.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Kenny Cooper scored twice (28', 88'), while Theirry Henry, who had a two-assist night, tallied once (90'+3) as the New York Red Bulls dominated visiting Toronto FC 4-1.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Jairo Arrieta scored twice late in the first half (44', 45'+5) and Milovan Mirosevic scored the winning goal in the 88th minute as the Columbus Crew, after blowing a two-goal lead, still defeated (and eliminated from playoff contention) the visiting Philadelphia Union 3-2.

At Houston:

Ricardo Clark (77') and Oscar Garcia Ramirez (90'+3) each scored a second-half goal as the Houston Dynamo blanked the visiting New England Revolution 2-0.

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

The Cascadia Cup contest between the Seattle Sounders and home-standing Vancouver Whitecaps ended in a 0-0 deadlock, good enough for the Sounders to clinch a playoff berth for the fourth consecutive season.

At Portland, Oregon:

Bright Dike's equalizer in the 79th minute lifted the Portland Timbers to a 1-1 home draw with DC United, whose score came in the 60th minute on Chris Pontius' successful penalty kick.

At Carson, California:

Alvaro Saborio's natural hat trick (8', 12', 65') helped Real Salt Lake bury Chivas USA 4-0 on the road.

At Santa Clara, California:

Two late goals from Steven Lenhart (82', 90'+5), along with Alan Gordon's earlier score (24') enabled the Western Conference-leading San Jose Earthquakes to gain a 3-3 home draw with FC Dallas.  Blas Perez scored twice (37', 72') and Matt Hedges once (88') for the Hoops, who continue to trail Vancouver by two points for the final conference playoff berth.
