Copa Libertadores

Group-stage action in the Copa Libertadores continued on Tuesday with four games.

Group Two:

At Lima, Peru:

Irven Avila's equalizer in the 74th minute enabled Sporting Cristal to gain a 1-1 home draw with Club Libertad.  Pablo Velazquez scored for the Paraguayan club in the 53rd minute.

Group Four:

At Buenos Aires:

Federico Insua's successful penalty kick in the 75th minute proved to be the winning goal in Velez Sarsfield's 3-1 home triumph over Penarol.

GROUP FOUR STANDINGS:

Group Seven:

At Santiago, Chile:

Maxi Rodriguez (19') and Martin Tonso (84') provided the scoring as Newell's Old Boys blanked Universidad de Chile 2-0 on the road.

Group Eight:

At Caracas, Venezuela:

Edder Farias scored the winning goal in the 67th minute as Caracas FC defeated visiting Gremio 2-1.
