Europa League: Spurs, Red Bull Salzburg, Valencia, Dnipro Among Those Who Punch Tickets For Round of 32

24 games were played on Thursday as the second half of Europa League group-stage action commenced.

Group A:

At Krasnodar, Russia:

Ibrahima Balde delivered a stoppage-time equalizer (90'+2) that enabled Kuban Krasnodar to salvage a 1-1 home draw with Swansea City, preventing the Welsh club that plays in England's Premier League from clinching a knockout-stage berth.  Wilfried Bony scored for the visiting Swans in the ninth minute.
At St. Gallen, Switzerland:

Pablo Piatti scored twice (30', 76') and Sergio Canales delivered the game winner in the 86th minute as Valencia clinched a berth in the Round of 32 with a 3-2 come-from-behind road win over FC St. Gallen.

Juninho Quixada scored in the 47th munites as Ludogorets Razgrad, despite being held to a 1-1 home draw by Chornomorets Odessa, punched their ticket for the Europa League's knockout stage.  Oleksiy Gai equalized in the 64th minute for the Ukrainian club.

At Eindhoven, Netherlands:

Adam Maher (29') and Ola Toivonen (57') delivered the goals as PSV Eindhoven eliminated Dinamo Zagreb from European competition with a 2-0 home win.

Mick (Don't Call Me Martin) van Buren scored the only goal of the match in the 71st minute as Esbjerg fB laid claim to a berth in the knockout stage with a 1-0 home win over now-eliminated IF Elfsborg.

At Liege, Belgium:

Kevin Kampl scored what proved to be the game-winning goal just before halftime (45'+1) as FC Red Bull Salzburg clinched a berth in the knockout stage with a 3-1 road win over Standard Liege as the Belgian club were eliminated from the tournament.

Thorgan Hazard's penalty kick in the 29th minute provided the only score of SV Zulte Waregem's 1-0 road win over NK Maribor.

Matheus Leite Nascimento (44') and Yevhen Konoplyanka (66') delivered the goals as FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk blanked visiting Pacos de Ferreira 2-0 to lock up a place in the Round of 32 and knock the Portuguese club out of European competition.

At Cluj-Napoca, Romania:

Borja Valero scored the winning goal in second-half stoppage time (90'+2) as Fiorentina came from behind to defeat Pandurii Targu Jiu 2-1 to clinch a berth in the knockout stage and eliminate the Romanian club.

Nuno Morais scored the winning goal in the 55th minute as APOEL FC defeated visiting Bordeaux 2-1 in a match that saw both clubs reduced to ten men.

At Tel Aviv, Israel:

Eran Zahavi (14', PK-90'4) and Barak Yitzhaki (30', 55') each scored twice, once in each half, as Maccabi Tel Aviv doubled up visiting Eintracht Frankfurt 4-2.

Lukas (Don't Call Me Chris) Schenkel (OG-29') and Andriy Yarmolenko (69') provided the scoring that lifted Dynamo Kiev to a 2-0 road win over FC Thun, despite finishing the match with ten men.

At Estoril, Portugal:

GD Estoril Praia and nine-man guests SC Freiburg battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

Chuli scored the only goal of the match at the death (90'+4) as Real Betis defeated Vitoria de Guimaraes 1-0 on the road.

Lazio, thanks to Sergio Floccari's first-half double (14', 37') held off visiting Apollon Limassol 2-1.

Tottenham Hotspur, with Erik Lamela(60') and Jermain Defoe (PK-67') delivering the goals, defeated visiting FC Sheriff Tiraspol 2-1 and locked up a berth in the Europa League's knockout stage.
