UEFA Champions League, Group A: Goal-Free Tuesday

The second half of group-stage action in the UEFA Champions League commenced with eight games played on Tuesday, two of them in Group A.

At Donetsk, Ukraine:
Bayer Leverkusen's goalkeeper Bernd Leno made a string of stops to keep out the Shakhtar attack (Reuters)
Shakhtar Donetsk and visiting Bayer Leverkusen battled to a 0-0 stalemate as the German club remained in second place in the Group A standings.  Here, we see Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd (Don't Call Me Jay) Leno making one of several saves.

At San Sebastian, Spain:

Real Sociedad battled visiting ten-man Manchester United to a 0-0 deadlock.  The hosts are on the cusp of elimination from contention for a Champions League knockout-stage berth while the Red Devils, with two games remaining, remained atop Group A. Here, we see the Red Devils' Marouane Fellaini being ejected via a red card after receiving a second red card.
