UEFA Champions League, Group D: Chalk Up Wednesday Wins For Bayern, Citizens

Two games in Group D of the UEFA Champions League were contested on Wednesday.

At Khimki, Russia:

Arjen Robben (17'), Mario Gotze (56'), and Thomas Muller (PK-65') delivered the goalpower as knockout-stage-bound Bayern Munich (shown here celebrating) notched  a 3-1 road win over CSKA Moscow. It was the defending champions' tenth straight Champions League victory.

At Manchester, England:

Alvaro Negredo scored the winning goal in the 78th minute as Manchester City secured a berth in the knockout stage with a 4-2 home doubling of FC Viktoria Plzen.  Here, we see the Citizens' Joleon Lescott make a move for the ball.
