2006-07 UEFA Champions League Group Stage, Matchday #3

Here's a rundown of Tuesday's play in the group stage of the 2006-07 UEFA Champions League:

GROUP E:

At Bucharest:
Real Madrid used four different goal scorers in an easy 4-1 road win against Steaua Bucharest to move into sole position of second place in Group E. Details here.

At Kiev, Ukraine:
Olympique Lyonnais, with three different goal scorers, blanked Dynamo Kiev 3-0 on the road in the Ukrainian capital. Lyon edged closer to qualifying for the knockout stage, leading Group E with a perfect nine points. Details here.

GROUP F:

At Glasgow, Scotland:
Two second-half goals (56', 66') by Kenny Miller helped Celtic crown visiting SL Benfica 3-0. The Bhoys are solidly in second place in Group F with six points. Details here.

At Manchester, England:
Manchester United, on goals from Paul Scholes (39'), John O'Shea (46'), and Kieran Richardson (82'), throttled visiting FC Copenhagen 3-0 to remain atop Group F with a perfect nine points. Details here.

GROUP G:

At Moscow:
Daniel Carvalho scored the only goal of the match in the 24th minute as CSKA Moscow knocked off Arsenal before the home fans 1-0. The Horses move to the top of the Group G standings with seven points while the Gunners fall to second with six. Details here.

At Porto, Portugal:
Lisandro Lopez scored twice (14', 81') to help lead FC Porto to a 4-1 hammering that turned visitng Hamburg SV into Hambuger (bad pun). Porto remains stuck in third place in Group G with four points. Details here.


GROUP H:

At Lens, France:
Lille scored all three of their goals in the second half of their 3-1 win over visiting AEK Athens. The win puts the Mastiffs in second place in Group H at five points. Details here.

Kaka scored the lone goal (58') in AC Milan's 1-0 road win over RSC Anderlecht, putting Milan atop the Group H standings at seven points. Details here.
