Sheffield United picked up their first point away from home this Premiership season, thanks to a 0-0 draw at Manchester City. Details here.

At Middlesbrough:

Middlesbrough, thanks to goals from Yakubu (PK-27') and Mark Vikuda (71'), held off Everton for a 2-1 home win, handing the Toffees their first setback of the EPL season. Details here.

At Portsmouth:

Portsmouth FC, on goals from Nwankwo Kanu (24') and Andy Cole (82'), downed strugging West Ham United at home 2-0. Details here.

At Reading:

Ivar Ingimarsson scored the only goal of the match in the 45th minute. Unfortunately for Ivar, he deflected Frank Lampard's free kick into his own goal, thus enabling visiting Chelsea to defeat Reading 1-0.
