At London:
Robin Van Persie's double (85', 88') helped Arsenal spank visiting Blackburn 6-2.
At London:
In a local London derby, visiting West Ham United and Fulham battled to a 0-0 draw.
At Manchester:
Nicolas Anelka's double (8', 25') provided all the scoring in Bolton's 2-0 road blanking of slumping Manchester City.
At Reading:
Andrew Johnson (14') and James McFadden (47') each had a tally as Everton blanked homestanding Reading 2-0.
At Middlesbrough:
Goals from Aiyegbeni Yakubu (29') and Julio Arca (52') sparked Middlesbrough to a 2-0 triumph at home over sad-sack Charlton Athletic.
At Newcastle:
Three first-half goals, one from each of three different players, were more than enough as Newcastle United bested visiting Tottenham Hotspur 3-1.
At Liverpool:
Craig Bellamy (47') and Xabi Alonso (88') provided the scoring punch for Liverpool as the Reds downed visiting--and struggling--Watford 2-0.
At Portsmouth:
Second-half goals from Sol Campbell (54') and Noe Pamarot (68') helped spark a come-from-behind 3-1 home win for Portsmouth over Sheffield United.
