Collins Mbesuma (on loan from Portsmouth) twice tallied (32', 76') to help power Maritimo to a 2-1 road win over Academica de Coimbra.
At Pacos de Ferreira:
Estrela Amadora and homestanding Pacos Ferreira battled to a 1-1 stalemate.
At Figueira da Foz:
Visting SL Benfica and Naval 1° de Maio battled to a 0-0 deadlock.
