Knockout stage-bound Juventus held Zenit Saint Petersburg to a 0-0 draw on the road, knocking the Russian champs out of Champions League contention. Zenit will, nevertheless, play in the knockout stage of the UEFA Cup, where they are the current cupholders. At Minsk, Belarus:

Raul Gonzalez (seen here mobbed by teammates) scored the game's only goal at 7 minutes as Real Madrid clinched a berth in the knockout stage with their 1-0 road win over BATE Borisov, in the process, knocking the Belorussian club out of contention for further European competition.
