CAF Champions League: Raja Casablanca Annihilate Tourbillon

The preliminary round of the CAF Champions League got under way with one game on Friday.

At Casablanca, Morocco:

Raja Casablanca virtually locked up a berth in the opening proper round of the tournament following their 10-1 horsewhipping of visiting Tourbillon (Chad).  Hassan Tair delivered a hat trick (13', 29', 50') for the hosts. The return match in this two-game series is scheduled to take place in two weeks time at N'Djamena, Chad, with the winner set to take on the winner of the Motor Action FC (Zimbabwe)-CNaPS Sport (Madagascar) two-game series.

Inter Luanda's scheduled two-match set with Township Rollers from Botswana was canceled because the Botswanan club was suspended by the CAF.  The club from Angola will play in the first round proper against Al-Merreikh from Sudan with the opening match to take place sometime between March 18 and 20.
