4. Gold Coast United* (GP: 30; GD: +8; PTS: 46)
5. Melbourne Victory* (GP: 30: GD: +6; PTS: 43)
6. Wellington Phoenix* (GP: 30; GD: -2; PTS: 41)
7. Newcastle United Jets (GP: 30; GD: -4; PTS: 35)
8. Melbourne Heart (GP: 30; GD: -10; PTS: 35)

Brisbane Roar, by finishing first, automatically qualified for the 2012 AFC Champions League. The top six finishers all qualified for the playoffs, or finals. Whoever wins that tournament would also qualify for next year's AFC Champions League.
