2011 CAF Champions League: MC Alger Advance To First Round Proper

One game was played in qualifying round for the CAF Champions League on Friday.

At Rouiba, Algeria:

Nassim Bouchema (23') and Mohamed Derrag (51') each tallied once as MC Alger took the second game of their two-match series with Olympic Real de Bangui 2-0 at home and won the two-match set 3-1 on aggregate.  Next up for the Algerian club, a two-game series with Dynamos FC from Zimbabwe.

One other note, perhaps in the wake of their 10-1 road demolition at the hands of Raja Casablanca, Tourbillon FC from Chad elected to withdraw, thus giving the club from Morocco a free pass to the first round.  A two-match series with Stade Malien (Mali) is next on Raja's African agenda.
