The Mexican Primera Division Apertura playoffs commenced with two games contested on Saturday.
At Santiago de Queretaro, Mexico:
Carlos Bueno scored twice (9', 70') as Queretaro took the opening game of their two-game quarterfinal series with Chivas de Guadalajara 2-1. Jorge Enriquez kept the Goats alive in the series with a stoppage-time tally (90'+2).
At Morelia, Mexico:
Rafael Marquez Lugo scored twice (78', 85') as Morelia came from behind to capture game one of their two-match series with Cruz Azul 2-1 at home. The visitors got their goal in the 32nd minute from Javier Orozco.
