AFC Champions League: Al-Jazira

Group-stage play in the AFC Champions League continued on Tuesday with eight games.

Group A:

At Tehran, Iran:

The match between Esteghlal and visiting Nasaf Qarshi ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

At Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates:

Ricardo Oliveira (8'), Ibrahim Diaky (54'), and Abdulla Al Bloushi (57') each delivered a goal as Al-Jazira edged visiting Al-Rayyan 3-2.

At Tashkent, Uzbekistan:

Mohamed Fawzi's equalizer in the 60th minute lifted Bani Yas to a 1-1 road draw with Pakhtakor Tashkent, whose goal came courtesy of Dilshod Sharofetdinov in the 28th minute.

At Doha, Qatar:

Naif Hazazi scored twice (21', 51') during Al-Ittihad's 3-1 road win over Al-Arabi.

At Adelaide, Australia:

Lee Seung-Yeoul (OG-17') and Daniel Mullen (24') provided the scoring as Adelaide United, who had a rough domestic league season, maintained their 100% to their Champions League group-stage campaing with a 2-0 home win over Gamba Osaka.

At Pohang, South Korea:

Lutfulla Turaev (27') and Kamoliddin Murzoev (78') provided the scoring punch as FC Bunyodkor defeated Pohang Steelers 2-0 on the road.

1. Adelaide United (GP: 2; GD: +3; PTS: 6)
2. FC Bunyodkor (GP: 2; GD: +1; PTS: 3)

Group F:

At Tokyo:

In a battle of the top two clubs in Group F, FC Tokyo and visiting Ulsan Hyundai battled to a 2-2 draw.  Yuhei Tokunaga (37') and Yohei Kajiyama (83') provided the scoring for the hosts while the South Korean club got a draw on the road thanks to goals for Kim Seung-Yong (81') and Maranhao (88').

At Beijing:

Mitch Nichols scored at 21 minutes to carry the Brisbane Roar to a 1-1 road draw with Beijing Guoan, whose tally came in the 7th minute from Piao Cheng.
