Copa Libertadores: Santos Eliminate Juan Aurich; Velez Sarsfield Winners; 1-1 Deadlock In Medellin

Three games were played on Thursday as action in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores continued.


Group One:


At Santos, Brazil:


Edu Dracena (15') and Neymar (58') provided the scoring as Santos eliminated visiting Juan Aurich from the tournament with a 2-0 home win.

Group Seven:


At Buenos Aires:


Juan Martinez scored the only goal of the match in the 89th minute as Velez Sarsfield found themselves closing in on advancing to the knockout stage following their 1-0 home win over Deportivo Quito.


Group Eight:


At Medellin, Colombia:


Atletico Nacional battled Godoy Cruz to a 2-2 home draw.  Luis Mosquera (2', PK-16') scored both of the hosts' goals while Jorge Curbelo (23') and Facundo Castillon (34') provided the scoring that enabled the Argentinian club to come back from a two-goal deficit.
