Kenny Cooper scored the winning goal in the 78th minute as the New York Red Bulls came from behind to top the Philadelphia Union 3-2 for their fourth straight victory, enabling them to move ahead of slumping Sporting Kansas City to the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
At Santa Clara, California:
Alan Gordon's equalizer in the 88th minute carried the San Jose Earthquakes to a 1-1 home draw with Chivas USA. Jose Correa Villero scored for the Goats in the third minute.
