Eduardo Vargas scored twice (42', 64') on Monday as hosts Chile knocked off Peru 2-1 in Monday's Copa America semifinal.
The Chileans will play the winner of Tuesday's Argentina-Paraguay contest in Saturday's final (their first since 1987, they have yet to win the title) at Santiago with the winner representing CONMEBOL in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, due to take place in Russia.
