TERRIERS WIN PK THRILLER WITH ROYALS TO RETURN TO TOP FLIGHT IN ENGLAND AFTER 45-YEAR ABSENCE

After 120 scoreless minutes at Wembley Stadium on Monday, Chris Lowe, Nahki Wells, Aaron Mooy, and Christopher Schindler each converted a spot kick as Huddersfield Town defeated Reading 4-3 in the penalty-kick shootout of the English Football League Championship promotion playoff final.

With the victory, the Terriers will be joining Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion in gaining promotion to the English Premier League, putting Huddersfield in the top flight of English Soccer for the first time since 1972.
