MLS: Galaxy Too Much For Red Bulls In Jersey; Timbers And ATL UTD Draw; Likewise Hoops And Visiting Citizens

Three games were played in Major League Soccer on Sunday.

At Portland, Oregon:

Liam Ridgewell's equalizer in the 50th minute enabled the Portland Timbers to salvage a 1-1 home draw with Atlanta United.  Julian Gressel scored for the visitors from the Peach City in the 46th minute.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Romain Alessandrini scored twice during the first ten minutes (8', 9') as the Los Angeles Galaxy manhandled the New York Red Bulls 3-1 on the road.

At Frisco, Texas:

Tommy McNamara's equalizer in the 68th minute lifted New York City to a 1-1 road draw with FC Dallas.  Kellyn Acosta scored for the hosts at 20 minutes.
