A 0-0 game-two home stalemate with Young Africans proved to be good enough for Township Rollers as they won their two-match series with the Tanzanian club 2-1 on aggregate.

At Beira, Mozambique:

Despite being dominated 3-0 on the road in game two against UD Songo, TP Mazembe still won their series with the club from Mozambique 4-3 on aggregate.

At Johannesburg, South Africa:

Despite dropping a 1-0 game-two regulation decision to Bidvest Wits, thus squaring the series at 1-1 on aggregate (and with no overtime periods), CD Primeiro de Agosto of Angola won the penalty-kick shootout 3-2 to advance to the group stage.
