CAF Champions League

The first round of the CAF Champions League got underway on Tuesday with four games.

At Cairo, Egypt:

Abdallah Said scored twice (65', PK-69') as Al-Ahly demolished visiting CF Mounana 4-0 in the opening game of their series.

At Conakry, Guinea:


Bassirou Ouedraogo (63') and A.P. Camara (89') each scored once in the second half as Horoya held off visiting Generation Foot 2-1 in their series-opening match.


Amdy Konte kept the Senegalese club in the series with his goal in the 75th minute.

At Dar es Salaam, Tanzania:


Motsholetsi Sikele scored the winning goal in the 83rd minute as Botswana's Township Rollers knocked off Young Africans 2-1 on the road in the opening contest of their two-game series.

At Sousse, Tunisia:

Amine Chermiti scored twice (3', 8') as Etoile du Sahel scored three goals in the first ten minutes en route to a 4-2 series-opening home victory over Nigeria's Plateau United.
