At Athens, Greece:
Napoli got their European campaign off on the right foot with their 1-0 road win over Panionios. Mariano Adrian Bogliacino scored the game's only goal a half-hour into the match.
At Sivas, Turkey:
Portuguese club Sporting Braga racked up a 2-0 road win over Sivasspor in game one of their two-match set. Roland Linz scored that would be the game-winning goal shortly before halftime.
