Copa Libertadores: Club Libertad, Club America, Velez Sarsfield, Deportes Tolima Come Up Winners

Five games were played on Tuesday as the first full week of group stage play in the Copa Libertadores got under way.


Group One:


At San Luis Potosi, Mexico:


Sergio Aquino scored the winning goal with his successful penalty kick at 54 minutes as Club Libertad defeated San Luis 2-1 on the road.


Group Three:


At Mexico City:


Vincente Sanchez (3') and Vincente Vuoso (48') each scored once as Club America blanked visiting Club Nacional (Uruguay) 2-0.

Maximiliano Morales (44'), David Ospina Ramirez 59'), and Juan Manuel Martinez (PK-83') each tallied once as Velez Sarsfield manhandled visiting Caracas FC 3-0.


Group Five:


At San Cristobal, Venezuela:


The contest between Deportivo Tachira and visiting Santos of Brazil ended in a 0-0 stalemate.


Group Seven:


At Ibague, Colombia:


Danny Santoya's goal at 83 minutes provided all the scoring as Deportes Tolima defeated visiting Club Guarani (Paraguay) 1-0.
