FA Cup: Toffees Detrone Chelsea In Replay Shootout; Man U, Potters, Brumbies Reach Quarterfinals

There was one fourth-round FA Cup replay on Saturday.

At London:

Following 90 minutes of scoreless regulation time in their fourtr-round FA Cup replay, Frank Lampard put Chelsea ahead in the first overtime period (104') only to see visiting Everton's Leighton Barnes square things up at 1-1 in the second extra period (119').  In the penalty-kick shootout, Phil Neville scored the game winner as the Toffees take the shootout 4-3 to advance to the fifth round and oust the two-time defending champions.

Three games from the Round of 16 were played on Saturday.

At Birmingham, England:

Jean Beausejour (6'), Obafemi Martins (17'), and David Murphy (53') each delivered a goal as Birmingham City dominated visiting Sheffield Wednesday (League One) 3-0.

At Stoke-on-Trent, England:

In another contest in which an English Premier League club dominated a visiting League One side, John Carew (14'), Jonathan Walters (22'), Ryan Shawcross (43') all scored in the first half as Stoke City delivered a 3-0 beatdown on Brighton.

At Manchester, England:

Wes Brown delivered the only goal of the match in the 28th minute as Manchester United survived a scare from visiting English Blue Square Premier Conference club Crawley Town---the tournament's last remaining non-league club---1-0 in a battle of clubs known as the Red Devils.
