Team USA Battle Back From Two-Goal Deficit To Gain Road Draw; Mexico Hand Costa Rico First Defeat; T&T, Honduras Draw

CONCACAF region qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup resumed Saturday.

At San Salvador, El Salvador:

Goals from Jozy Altidore (77') and Frankie Hejduk (88') enabled the United States to come back from a two-goal deficit to gain a 2-2 road stalemate with El Salvador. Eliseo Quintanilla (15') and Cristian Castillo (72') had scored for the hosts.

At Mexico City:

Goals from Omar Bravo (19') and Pavel Pardo (PK-52') lifted Mexico to a badly needed 2-0 home win over Costa Rico. It is the Costa Ricans' first defeat in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup.

At Port Of Spain, Trinidad:

Khaleem Hyland's equalizer at 89 minutes enabled Trinidad and Tobago to gain a 1-1 home draw with Honduras, whose Carlos Pavon had scored at 50 minutes.
