UEFA Champions League Group E: Blues Held To Draw In Belgium; Valencia Still Very Much Alive After Home Win

The second half of UEFA Champions League group-stage play commenced on Tuesday with eight games, two of them in Group E.

At Valencia, Spain:


Valencia celebrate Jonas' goal against Bayer Leverkusen after just 10.6 seconds


Jonas Goncalves Oliveira (1', shown here celebrating with fans), Roberto Soldado (65'), and Adil Rami (75') each scored a goal as Valencia defeated visiting Bayer Leverkusen 3-1.

At Genk, Belgium:


David Luiz sees his penalty saved by Genk goalkeeper László Köteles.


Jelle Vossen's equalizer in the 61st minute enabled Genk to gain a 1-1 home draw with Chelsea that kept their slim hopes of advancing to the knockout stage alive.  Ramires scored for the visiting Blues at 26 minutes.  Shown here is Genk goalkeeper Laszlo Koteles saving David Luiz's penalty kick in the 39th minute.
