CAF Champions League: Africa Sports, DFC8 Advance To First Round Proper

Action continued on Sunday in the qualifying round for the CAF Champions League.

At Douala, Cameroon:

Despite dropping a 2-1 decision on the road in game two, DFC8, with the score at 2-2 on aggregate, still won their two-game series with Les Astres due to the away goals rule.  Moussa Limane scored what proved to be the series-winning goal for the club from the Central African Republic in the 44th minute.

At Abidjan, Ivory Coast:

Africa Sports, with their 2-0 game-two home win over Missile FC, overturned their 3-2 game-one defeat in Gabon and won their two-match series 4-3 on aggregate.  Serge Kouakou (24') and Diemoco Konate (79') provided the scoring for the Ivorian club.

At Kigali, Rwanda:

Faty Papy scored the only goal of both the match and the series in the 52nd minute as APR FC took both game two at home with Kenya's Tusker FC and the two-match series, 1-0.

At Addis Ababa, Ethiopia:

After dropping game one 1-0 in Comoros, Ethiopian Coffee turned things around at home in game two, winning the game 4-1 and winning their series with Coin Nord 4-2 on aggregate. Medhane Tadese scored twice (28', 88') for the club from the Ethiopian capital.

At Maseru, Lesotho:

A 0-0 stalemate on the road in game two proved more than good enough for Uganda Revenue Authority as they took their two-match series with Lesotho Correctional Services 3-0 on aggregate.

At Port Harcourt, Nigeria:

Isiaka Olawale (2'), Ifeanyi Egwin (20'), and Chidi Osuchukwu (72') each scored a goal as Dolphins FC racked up a second 3-0 win, this time at home, over CD Ela Nguema and finished off the club from Equatorial Guinea 6-0 on aggregate.

At Berekum, Ghana:

Emmanuel Clottey scored twice (63', 66') as Berekum Chelsea manhandled visiting Liberian Ship Corporate Registry FC 3-0 in game two and won their two-game series 5-0 on aggregate.

At Kitwe, Zambia:
