The semifinal round of the Amway Canadian Championship concluded with two games on Wednesday.
At Toronto:
Reggie Lambe (2') and Ryan Johnson (38') each tallied once as Toronto FC (despite finishing with ten men) defeated the visiting Montreal Impact 2-0 in game two of their two-match semifinal series---which the Reds won 2-0 on aggregate.
At Vancouver, British Columbia:
Sebastien Le Toux scored twice (75', 88') as the Vancouver Whitecaps defeated visiting FC Edmonton (NASL) 3-1 in game two and won the two-match series 5-1 on aggregate.
The two-match final will start next Wednesday at Vancouver with the return contest in Toronto on May 23, with the winner qualifying for the expanded group stage of next season's CONCACAF Champions League.
