CAF Champions League Preliminary Round

The CAF Champions League's preliminary round continued on Sunday.

At Berekum, Ghana:

Berekum Chelsea took the opening match of their two-game series with Altabara (the first club from South Sudan ever to appear in CAF Champions League action) 2-0 at home.

At Aba, Nigeria:

Enyimba International FC took the opening game of their series with Togo's  Anges de Notse 3-1.

At Douala, Cameroon:

Raymond Fotso scored twice (19', 78') as Les Astres FC dominated game one of their series with Akonangui FC, blanking the visiting club from Equatorial Guinea 3-0.

At Kumasi, Ghana:

Asante Kotoko took game one of their two-match series with Liberia's Barrack Young Controllers 2-1, even though an away goal kept the visitors alive in the series.

At Addis Ababa, Ethiopia:

Dedebit took control of their two-match series with KMKM of Zanzibar with a 3-0 home win in game one.

At Dolisie, Republic of Congo:

Rayon Sports from Rwanda held home-standing AC Leopards to a 0-0 game-one stalemate.

At Harare, Zimbabwe:

Dynamos dominated the opening match of their two-game set with Mochudi Centre Chiefs, blanking the visiting club from neighboring Botswana 3-0.

At Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo:

AS Vita Club defeated Nigeria's Kano Pillars 3-1 at home in match one of their two-game series.

At Cairo, Egypt:

Mohamed Ibrahim (PK-34') and Moamen Zakaria (84') each delivered a goal as Zamalek SC blanked visiting AS Douanes Niamey (Niger) 2-0 in their series opener.

At Lobamba, Swaziland:

Mbabane Swallows blanked visiting Nkana FC from Zambia 2-0 in the opening match of their two-game series.
