CAF Champions League Preliminary Round

Twelve games were played on Saturday as the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League continued.

At Dar es Salaam, Tanzanita:

Mrisho Ngasa (13', 65', 68') delivered a hat trick while Didier Kavumbagu added a double (58', 81') as Young Africans took command of their two-game series with Komorozine (Comoros) with a 7-0 game-one annihilation at home.

At Nairobi, Kenya:

Dan Sserunkuma's penalty kick in the 75th minute provided all the scoring as Gor Mahia FC took the opening match of their two-game series with Gabon's US Bitam 1-0 at home.

At Rabat, Morocco:

AS Real Bamako from Mali gained a game-one 2-2 road draw with FAR Rabat.

At Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo:

Flambeau de L'Est (Burundi) topped home-standing Diables Noirs 1-0 in their series opener.

At Sely, Senegal:

Diambars took the opening game of their series with Burkina Faso's ASFA Yennenga 1-0 at home.

At Sao Tome Island, Sao Tome and Principie:

Sporting Praia Cruz took the opening match of their two-game series with Stade Malien 3-2, though the visiting club from Mali still has a chance in the series after scoring a pair of goals on the road.

At Luanda, Angola:

CD Primeiro de Agosto scored a goal in each half of their series-opening 2-0 home win over Lioli FC (Lesotho)

At Johannesburg, South Africa:

Kaiser Chiefs dominated visiting Black Africa FC (Namibia) 3-0 in the opening contest of their two-game series.

At Luanda, Angola:

Kabuscorp SCP didn't have much trouble in their series-opening match against Cote d'Or FC, manhandling the visitors from Seychelles 5-1.

At Omdurman, Sudan:

Kampala City Council FC from Uganda shocked hosts Al-Rerreikh with a series-opening 2-0 road victory.

At Nouakchott, Mauritania:

Guinea's Horoya AC gained a series-opening 1-1 road draw with FC Nouadhibou.

At Matola, Mozambique:

Apson Sonito scored the only goal of the match in the 15th minute as Liga Muculmana defeated visiting CNaPS Sport of Madagascar in the opening contest of their two-game series.
