MLS: Saturday Wins For Five Stripes, Impact, Reds, Dynamo, Sounders, SKC; Rapids Eliminated

Nine contests were on the Major League Soccer schedule for Saturday.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Miguel Almiron scored twice (10', 18') as Atlanta United moved back into the top spot in the Eastern Conference and Supporters' Shield races after their 3-0 road domination of the Colorado Rapids, who were eliminated from playoff contention.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Alejandro Silva scored twice (28', 78') as the Montreal Impact picked up a critical 4-1 road win over the Philadelphia Union.

At Toronto:

Jonathan Osorio scored the winning goal in the 75th minute as Toronto FC knocked off the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy 5-3, spoiling Dominic Kinnear's debut as the guests interim head coach.

The Galaxy's Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his 500th career goal for club and country in the 44th minute.

At Frisco, Texas:

FC Dallas and the visiting Columbus Crew battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Houston:

Mauro Manotas scored twice (39', 71') as the Houston Dynamo snapped their ten-match winless streak by dominating the visiting Portland Timbers 4-1.

At Sandy, Utah:

Miguel Ibarra's equalizer in the 84th minute lifted Minnesota United to a 1-1 home deadlock with Real Salt Lake.

Damir Kreilach scored for the visitors in the 11th minute.

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

Raul Ruidiaz scored twice (21', 42') as the Seattle Sounders won their MLS-record (post-Shootout era) ninth straight win and locked up the Cascadia Cup crown by beating the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1 on the road.

The Sounders' unbeaten run has now reached 12 games.

At Los Angeles:

Brandon Bye's equalizer in the 82nd minute lifted the New England Revolution to a 1-1 road draw with the Los Angeles Football Club.

Marco Urena scored for the hosts in the 52nd minute.

At San Jose, California:

Gerso Fernandes scored twice (18', 86') as Sporting Kansas City moved back to the top of the Western Conference standings after their 5-1 road demolition of the San Jose Earthquakes.
