MLS: Saturday Wins For LAFC, Red Bulls, Five Stripes, Crew, Loons

Eight games were contested in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Los Angeles:

Walker Zimmerman scored both goals (41', 68') in the Los Angeles Football Club's 2-0 home blanking of the San Jose Earthquakes.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Alejandro Romero Gamarra (70') and Derrick Etienne (90'+3) each scored once as the New York Red Bulls blanked visiting Toronto FC 2-0, delivering a crippling blow to the Reds' playoff chances.

At Atlanta:

Julian Gressel (37') and Hector Villalba (61') each scored once as Atlanta United blanked visiting Real Salt Lake 2-0.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Federico Higuain scored the winning goal in the 57th minute as the Columbus Crew defeated the visiting Colorado Rapids 2-1.

At Montreal:

Michael Azira's equalizer in the 27th minute enabled the Montreal Impact to gain a 1-1 home deadlock with New York City.

Rudy Camacho's own goal produced the Citizens' tally at 17 minutes.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Scott Caldwell (62') and Cristian Penilla (70') each scored a second-half tally as the New England Revolution salvaged a 2-2 home draw with the Chicago Fire.

Aleksandar Katai (19') and Michael Mancienne (OG-67') each scored once for the guests.

At Orlando, Florida:

Orlando City and the visiting Houston Dynamo battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Minneapolis:

Romario Ibarra scored twice (18', 36') while Michael Boxall scored the game winner in the 43rd minute as Minnesota United held off the visiting Portland Timbers 3-2.
