Copa Libertadores: Tuesday Wins For Four Brazilian Clubs As Group Stage Opens

Group-stage play in the Copa Libertadores commenced on Tuesday with six games.

At Curitiba, Brazil:

Guilherme Bissoli scored the only goal of the match in the 77th minute as Athletico Paranaense defeated visiting Penarol 1-0.

GROUP E:

At Porto Alegre, Brazil:

Jose Guerrero scored twice (62', 67') as Internacional dominated visiting Universidad Catolica 3-0.

At Cali, Colombia:

Victor Ferraz (15') and Matheus Henrique (50') each scored once as Gremio blanked America de Cali 2-0 on the road.

Oscar Cardozo scored the game winner at 28 minutes as Club Libertad downed Independiente Medellin 2-1 on the road.

At Caracas, Venezuela:

Robert Hernandez's equalizer in the 55th minute lifted Caracas FC to a 1-1 home draw with Boca Juniors.

Ramon Abila scored for the Argentinian club in the 25th minute.
