In the lone Sunday OFC Champions League group-stage contest, Dennis Ifunaoa scored the winning goal in the 66th minute as Solomon Warriors (Solomon Islands) defeated Tiare Tahiti (from where else? Tahiti) 1-0 in Group C action.
The scheduled match between Tupapa Maraerenga (Cook Islands) and the host country's AS Magenta was cancelled when the club from the Cook Islands withdrew after three of their players were not allowed by New Caledonia's Directorate of Health and Social Affairs to compete after failure to confirm their immunization from measles.
