Action from Group D of the OFC Champions League continued on Thursday with two games contested at Mahina Municipal Stadium in Mahina, Tahiti.
In the opener, Ritchievoy Ueligtone scored the game winner in the 42nd minute as Lupe o le Soaga (Samoa) raced out to a 4-0 lead, then held on for a 4-3 victory over Ba FC (Fiji).
It was the first-ever group-stage victory for a club from Samoa.
In the nightcap, Myer Bevan scored the only goal of the match in the 42nd minute as Auckland City of New Zealand all but secured a berth in the quarterfinal round by defeating AS Venus from the host nation 1-0.
