Copa Libertadores

Group-stage play in the Copa Libertadores continued with seven games on Wednesday.

GROUP A:

At Quito, Ecuador:

Fernando Guerrero (60'), Moises Caicedo (84'), and Lorenzo Faravelli (90'+4) each scored once as Independiente del Valle dominated visiting Atletico Junior (3-0).

At Rio de Janeiro:

Gustavo Henrique (39'), Gabriel Barbosa (PK-45'), and Bruno Henrique (63') each scored once as Flamengo dominated visiting Barcelona SC 3-0.

At Santiago, Chile:

Pablo Mouche's goal in the 11th minute was good enough for Colo-Colo as the Chilean club defeated visiting Athletico Paranaense 1-0.

At Montevideo, Uruguay:

Alejandro Melean's own goal in the 68th minute proved decisive as Penarol defeated visiting Jorge Wilsterman 1-0.

With Ignacio Fernandez scoring twice (74', 90'+2), River Plate made mince meat of visiting Binacional 8-0.

At Sao Paulo, Brazil:

Reinaldo Manoel da Silva (PK-14'), Dani Alves (15'), and Igor Gomes (61') each tallied once as Sao Paulo FC dominated visiting LDU Quito 3-0.
