Copa Wins For LDU, Boca, and Everton (Not THAT Everton)

Group stage play in the Copa Libertadores resumed Tuesday:

Group One:

At Quito, Ecuador:

LDU launched their defense of their South American club championship with a 3-2 home win over Brazil's Palmeiras. Walter Calderon scored twice (24', 54') and Damian Manso knocked in the game winner at 58 minutes for the defending champs.

Group Two:

At Buenos Aires:

Rodrigo Palacio's goal at 12 minutes was the only score of the match as Boca Juniors held off visiting Deportivo Cuenca of Ecuador 1-0.
