Singapore Armed Forces Take Qualifying Match

At Bangkok, Thailand:

The Singapore Armed Forces Football Club scored three times in overtime to defeat Provincial Electricity Authority 4-1 on the road to advance to next Wednesday's match against Indonesia's PSMS Medan, which would determine who would qualify for the group stage of the 2009 AFC Champions League, Asia's biggest club soccer tournament. Therdsak Chaiman scored twice in overtime (PK-97', 116') for the club that represents Singapore's armed forces.
