Copa Libertadores: The Strongest Prove Stronger Than Santos; Lanus Held To Home Draw By Flamengo; Draw Between Deportivo Tachira and Corinthians

Three more games were contested in Copa Libertadores group-stage play.


Group One:


At La Paz, Bolivia:


Ernesto Cristaldo (33') and Rodrigo Ramallo (90') each scored a goal as The Strongest spoiled the start of Santos' title defense, knocking off the visitors 2-1 in come-from-behind fashion.

Cesar Carranza's equalizer in the 74th minute salvaged a 1-1 home draw for Lanus against Flamengo.  Leo Maura scored for the visiting Brazilian club at 45 minutes.

Ralf de Souza Teles delivered a stoppage-time equalizer (90'+4) as Corinthians gained a share of the spoils with their 1-1 road draw with Deportivo Tachira.  Sergio Herrera scored for the hosts in the 21st minute.
