CAF Champions League: Stade Malien Surprise Ah-Ahly At Home; Game One Win For TP Mazembe

The second round of the CAF Champions League continued on Sunday with four games.


At Omdurman, Sudan:


Karim Ali Hadji scored the equalizer in the 56th minute as ASO Chlef gained a 1-1 road draw with Al-Hilal in the opening game of their two-match series.  Mudather El Tahir scored for the Sudanese club in the 10th minute.


At Bamako, Mali:


Stade Malien, thanks to Lamine Diawara's goal in the 86th minute, took the opening match of their series with longtime Egyptian and continental powerhouse Al-Ahly 1-0 at home.


At Berekum, Ghana:


The opening match between Berekum Chelsea and visiting Coton Sport ended in a 0-0 stalemate.


At Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo:


TP Mazembe, thanks to goals courtesy of Mbwana Samata (22') and Tresor Mputu Mabi (70'),  took game one of their two-match series with Al-Merreikh 2-0 at home.
