New Zealand Premiership Playoffs: Auckland City Knocked Out By Team Wellington; Capital City Club To Host Waitakere United In Final

The semifinal round of the playoff in the New Zealand Premiership concluded on Sunday with two games.


At Auckland, New Zealand:


Dakota Lucas scored twice (82', 90') as Team Wellington defeated Auckland City 3-1 on the road in game two of their two-match semifinal series.  The Capital City club won the series 4-1 on aggregate.


At Christchurch, New Zealand:


Ryan De Vries (12', 87') and Roy Krishna (49', 63') each scored twice as Waitakere United dominated Canterbury United 5-2 on the road in game two and won their two-match series 5-3 on aggregate, overturning their 1-0 home defeat from last Sunday.


Waitakere United will host Team Wellington in next Sunday's championship final.
