OFC Champions League: Dragon Held At Home To Previously Pointless Mont-Dore; Blow Chance To Take Over Second Place In Group B Ahead Of Big Match With Auckland City

At Pirae, Tahiti:

Dan Vakie's equalizer in the 73rd minute gained visiting AS Mont-Dore their first point of Group B action in the lone Wednesday OFC Champions League contest as the club from New Caledonia gained a 1-1 road draw with AS Dragon (Nicolas Vallar scoring in the 35th minute).  The draw cost the hosts two big points and the opportunity to move into second place in the Group B standings in front of their group-stage finale this coming Saturday at home against Auckland City, with the winner advancing to the semifinal round.
