CONCACAF Champions League: Rapids and Hoops Take Group-Stage Openers; Defending Champs Too

Three more games in the CONCACAF Champions League's group stage were played on Wednesday.


Group B:


Macoumba Kandji scored twice (16', 46') as the Colorado Rapids overcame two one-goal deficits to overtake visiting Isidro Metapan 3-2.

Dario Carreno's natural hat trick (21', 22', 35') started the scoring for Monterrey as the defending champions crushed Herediano 5-0 on the road.
