At Enschede, Netherlands:
SL Benfica took advantage of their two-game series with FC Twente with a 2-2 road draw in game one. Oscar Cardozo (21') and Manuel Agudo Nolito (35') provided the scoring for the Eagles while Luuk de Jong (6') and Bryan Ruiz (80') scored for the hosts.
