CONCACAF Champions League: Sounders Win One On The Road; Rapids Settle For Draw In Honduras

Two games were played on Tuesday as the second match day in CONCACAF Champions League group-stage play commenced.


Group B:


At San Pedro Sula, Honduras:


Julio Rodriguez provided the equalizer in the 87th minute as Real Espana salvaged a 1-1 home draw with the Colorado Rapids.  Jeff Larentowicz scored for the Rapids in first-half stoppage time (45'+1)


Group D:


At Monterrey, Mexico:


Alvaro Fernandez scored the only goal of the match (38') as the Seattle Sounders maintained their perfect start in group-stage play by knocking off defending champs Monterrey 1-0 on the road.
