MLS: Sounders, Whitecaps, Fire, Hoops, RSL Pick Up Wins

Six games were played in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Seattle:

Lamar Neagle scored his first MLS hat trick (4', 20', 70') as the Seattle Sounders overpowered the visiting Columbus Crew 6-2.  Jeff Cunningham provided a rare highlight for the Crew as his successful penalty kick in the 59th minute netted his 134th career goal, making him the all-time leading goal scorer in MLS history.

At Toronto:

Chris Wondolowski's equalizer in the 87th minute lifted the San Jose Earthquakes to a 1-1 road draw with Toronto FC.  Eric Avila scored for the host Reds at 33 minutes.

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

Shea Salinas scored the only goal of the match at 86 minutes as the Vancouver Whitecaps picked up only their fourth win of their inaugural MLS season, knocking off the visiting Houston Dynamo 1-0.

At Bridgeview, Illinois:

Dominic Oduro (16') and Cory Gibbs (35') provided the first-half scoring which proved to be enough as the Chicago Fire blanked the visiting Colorado Rapids 2-0.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Ugo Ihemelu (70'), Maicon Santos (88'), and Bobby Warshaw (90') provided the late scoring heroics as FC Dallas erased a two-goal deficit on the road and stunned Sporting Kansas City 3-2.

At Carson, California:

Alvaro Saborio scored the lone goal of the match in the 11th minute as Real Salt Lake, despite playing with only ten men for 67 minutes, ended their two-match MLS losing streak with a 1-0 road win over Chivas USA.
