The semifinal round of this year's US Open Cup tournament took place on Tuesday with two games.
At Bridgeview, Illinois:
Sebastian Grazzini (32') and Dominic Oduro (61') each scored a goal as the Chicago Fire defeated the Richmond Kickers (USL Pro League; the last remaining non Major League Soccer club left in the tournament) 3-2 to advance to the final.
At Tukwila, Washington:
Fredy Montero scored the only goal of the match in the 10th minute as the two-time defending champions Seattle Sounders shut out visiting FC Dallas 1-0.
The Sounders will host the final against the Fire on October 4 in Seattle.
